Five Points Lodge - Unguided Deer Hunts

For those of you who enjoy doing your own thing, Buck Run's newly renovated and smoke free Five Points Lodge may be just what you're looking for!

South Carolina Deer Hunting

Complete with central heat and air, semi-private rooms, modern bathroom and kitchen (utensils included), TV, pool table, skinning and cooling facilities, etc., Five Points Lodge offers all the comforts of home.

To further insure the privacy and integrety of your hunt, unguided hunting parties are limited and restricted to parties of four (4) only!

Each hunter shall be responsible for bringing their own towels, linens, bedding (blanket, sheets, pillow, sleeping bag), toiletries, skinning and sawing utensils, and food and drinks. Should you desire someone else to do the cooking for you, local restaurants are also available.

Unguided hunts are for 3 or 5 days and for deer only! To insure the quality of your hunt, there is only one 3 day and one 5 day hunt scheduled each month August through December. The cost for 3 day unguided hunts is $900 per hunter, and $1,500 per hunter for 5 days.

Upon your arrival at Five Points Lodge and after a brief orientation, each hunter will be required to purchase a South Carolina hunting license and big game permit (non-resident 3 day -- $140, non-resident 5 day -- $175). Licenses are available through our main lodge. You will also be required to shoot your firearm to check its accuracy at our on-sight range. Afterwards your hunting party will be shown several tracts of land complete with stands, food plots and feeding stations for your hunting enjoyment. No other hunters will be permitted in these areas during your stay at Five Points Lodge.

Deer season in this game zone of South Carolina opens on August 15, annually and closes on January 1, with no special weapon seasons as in other zones and states. At Five Points, we allow the following weapons: handguns (.357 ca. or larger), black powder (.45 cal. or larger), shotguns (rifled slugs only), or rifles (.243 cal. or larger).

South Carolina Turkey Hunting

Bag limits for deer will be as follows: From August 15 through September 14, -- one buck per day. From September 15 through January 1, -- one buck, one doe per day (no button bucks--$300 fine).
